Best Superloop NBN Black Friday deal

Superloop | NBN 1000 | AU$79p/m

Superloop | NBN 1000 | AU$79p/m (for 6 months, then AU$109p/m)

One of the best Black Friday NBN deals I've seen is Superloop's 1Gbps plan, now just AU$79p/m over the first six months. That's AU$6 cheaper than the previous introductory rate. It also advertises 860Mbps downloads during the busy evening hours, making it one of the fastest NBN 1000 plans in Australia right now.

That AU$79p/m cost is considerably cheaper than some bigger providers’ 50Mbps plans – and even most 500Mbps plans, which currently average at around AU$95.30p/m. But with Superloop's 1Gbps plan, you'll achieve nearly 1.75x more speed for just AU$10p/m extra.

Alongside the impressive intro discount, extra freebies include an Amazon Eero 7 router, which can support up to 2.5Gbps wireless speeds (shared) across multiple devices. You can also add on a mesh extender (or two) for an additional upfront cost. Note that you have to be on an FTTP or HFC type connection for this plan.

Total minimum cost: AU$79 | Total first year cost: AU$1,128 | Total yearly cost: AU$1,308

Other high-speed Superloop NBN deals

If you don't need all the megabits that the NBN 1000 plan offers, you could also consider Superloop's other high-speed options, like NBN 500 or NBN 750. Both tiers were recently introduced in September, as planned speed boosts for the existing NBN 100 and NBN 250 tiers.

Superloop | NBN 500 | AU$65p/m

Superloop | NBN 500 | AU$65p/m (for 6 months, then AU$95p/m)

Averaging 500Mbps downloads and 40Mbps uploads in the evening, Superloop's Family Max plan is as competitive as they get. With a low introductory rate of just AU$65p/m, you'll save AU$180 total across the first 6 months before the price returns to its usual AU$95p/m ongoing rate.

As a bonus perk, you can boost your speeds to the NBN 1000 tier for five days every month. And thanks to Superloop's no-lock-in contract, you can jump up (or down) plans at any time. This plan also optionally comes with the free Amazon Eero 7 router, provided you stay connected with Superloop for 36 months. As with all these new high-speed plans, this offering is only available to premises with an FTTP or HFC connection.

Total minimum cost: AU$65 | Total first year cost: AU$960 | Total yearly cost: AU$1,140

Superloop | NBN 750 | AU$74p/m

Superloop | NBN 750 | AU$74p/m (for 6 months, then AU$104p/m)

Advertising 750Mbps downloads and 50Mbps uploads. Superloop's Megaspeed plan will net you AU$180 worth of savings in the first half year, before the price increases to AU$104p/m ongoing.

Much like the other plans, Superloop's NBN 750 plan optionally comes with a free Amazon Eero 7 router, works on a no-lock-in contract basis and includes five free ‘Speed Upgrade Days’ every month, which let you boost your download and upload speeds to the next tier of NBN 1000 (which averages 860Mbps during the busy evening hours).

Total minimum cost: AU$74 | Total first year cost: AU$1,068 | Total yearly cost: AU$1,248

If you’re keen on one of these Black Friday deals, note that each plan requires a specific promo code, which we've included below. All Aussie Broadband plans come with unlimited data, and work on a no-lock-in contract basis. If you’d like to add a new modem-router to your plan, you can choose between an Amazon Eero Pro 7 for AU$240 or an Amazon Eero 7 for AU$180 – these can be paid for upfront, or monthly over either 12 or 24 months.

NBN 2000 is the new top speed that only became available in September, and Aussie Broadband claims it's able to hit blistering typical evening download speeds of 1,810Mbps for those with a full fibre (FTTP) connection, or a just marginally slower 1,780Mbps for those on hybrid fibre coax connections.

Using the code 20BF, you can get this brand new speed tier for AU$169p/m. If you're on FTTP and need mega upload capabilities, you could also opt for a 'Pro' version of this plan with 500Mbps upload speeds – that's down to AU$220 a month with the same code (normally AU$220).

If you're considering an NBN 2000 plan, then it's worth noting that Aussie Broadband offers a couple of options to choose from – a regular one and a 'Pro' plan. The main difference is upload speed: for FTTP connections, you’ll get 200Mbps for the former and 500Mbps on the Pro plan. If you connect via hybrid fibre coaxial (HFC), you can only sign up to the regular plan, which offers up to 100Mbps upload speeds.
